The second National Family Violence Summit will bring together the combined expertise and experience of Australia’s front-line service providers, thought leaders and political decision makers to deliver real change in the way we work to defeat family violence and to continue the conversation.
Tara Maree Costigan had a wicked sense of humour, adored her children and would go to great lengths to steal chocolate from her grandfather! She loved to turn the music up loud and play with her boys and always made time for her family and best friends. She was vivacious, bubbly and much loved.
She was also a victim of domestic violence which resulted in her death in Calwell, Canberra on 28 February, 2015. Her death evoked an unprecedented outpouring of sympathy and sadness from the people of Canberra and the surrounding region.
